A Message From the Regional Director

David Schepper
David Schepper -- Regional Director

If you have never attended an Annual Training Seminar you are missing something special! This year the ATS was held in Mobile, AL. I always come away with a greater sense of mission and purpose and a deeper appreciation for chaplaincy. The networking is invaluable. The classes are profitable. If you have attended an ATS you know what I mean. The 2009 ATS will be in Knoxville, TN, July 13-17, 2009.

Do you know of a department in your area that does not have a chaplain program, or a struggling program, or a chaplain who needs help in some way? We may be able to help. Send comments to Webmaster, or contact me, your Regional Director. If you know of a law enforcement chaplain who is not an ICPC member why not contact them, or contact your Area Representative, or any region officer so we can get them onboard. State and region officers stand ready to help, if we can, when we can.

There are exciting things on the horizon for ICPC and chaplaincy. It is a good time to be part of the International Conference of Police Chaplains.

By the way, the next Regional Training Seminar will be in Wichita Falls, TX, March 24-26, 2009. Make plans now to attend, you won't be sorry. Click on "Regional Training Seminar" from the Home Page for more information (and check back periodically for updates). Why not take time right now, while it is on your mind, to e-mail a chaplain or two a link to the Region 7 website.

As ICPC President McDuffie says, "Together We Can!" Remember: Every day opens up to new opportunities! Into the future we go with God!
