International Conference of Police Chaplains

The ICPC Story

ICPC seeks to maintain professionalism in law enforcement chaplaincy.

The International Conference of Police Chaplains was founded
in 1973 to serve all law enforcement chaplains.

  • Has more than 2,600 members in 20 nations worldwide
  • Is ecumenical, interfaith, and interdenominational
  • Supports both paid and volunteer chaplains
  • Helps agencies develop chaplaincy programs
  • Is a non-profit organization

All members receive endorsement to the ICPC from their respective ecclesiastical bodies, and the law enforcement agencies they serve. Several denominations have enrolled liaison representatives as members. A number of local churches are "Church Partners," giving financial and prayer support to this specialized workplace ministry. Gifts are also received from ICPC members and benefactors.
